Wow so many new experiences!

Well folks we have finally got a chance to get on the internet to update you on the latest.
All we can say is that it has been fantastic so far. So many new things to experience. When we get a chance we will down load the pictures:
Len's first taste of Root Beer.
Len seeing lightening bugs for the first time.
Len driving on the right side of the road and me being a very bad passenger! Well, maybe that isn't a first!
Len visiting his first American church and hearing a pucker evangelical sermon! He was staggered to see the number of churches in Wheaton.
Falling in love with the houses. They are so big. And so beautiful.
Speaking of big we were struck by how big everything was - the cars, the roads, the houses, the people!!! And before you ask we are getting bigger by the minute. Haven't eaten so much in all our lives. Judy Leo where we stayed the first couple days is a fantastic cook and we ate and over ate so many wonderful things like blueberry muffins and real banana bread and brownies and had this American brunch complete with chocolate covered strawberries.
When we got to my sister Norma's she gave us the most gorgeous curry, biryani flavour. So do not be surprised if we roll home - looking like the telly tubbies!
The Leos took us into Chicago and we thrilled at the sight of the Magnificent Mile and the wonderful Chicago skyline. Sat on Navy Pier watching the ships and ogling the sailors.
We are in Missouri now having driven 500 miles today. Love the car, expecially the cruise control. At one point Len said, Here we are cruising through Illinois, listening to Hank Williams singing and the sun is shining. It doesn't get any better than that!
Of course wouldn't you know it this evening on the news we heard all about the floods in Oklahoma right through the area we are travelling. And rain is forecast for the rest of the week. Still we know all about rain and how to deal with it so not going to worry about it.
