This is a record of the epic journey of Len Harvey and Carolyn McDermott along Route 66 in July 2007. From Chicago to San Francisco. OK so the Mother Road doesn't end in San Francisco. Neither does it make all the detours we are making but we are following the spirit of Route 66 and hope you enjoy the ride.
We passed quickly through Texas and New Mexico as we were heading for Arizona where we met up with Sue and Vic and Henry and explored the painted desert and petrified forest. It was in this section that we passed the midpoint of Route 66.
