This is a record of the epic journey of Len Harvey and Carolyn McDermott along Route 66 in July 2007. From Chicago to San Francisco. OK so the Mother Road doesn't end in San Francisco. Neither does it make all the detours we are making but we are following the spirit of Route 66 and hope you enjoy the ride.
The colours in the painted desert were awesome. It was easy to recognise that the rocks we saw were once trees although we half expected it to be more like a felled forest.
